Difference between cow leather and PU leather

Hi Everyone, i am Lisa.Today i want talk about the difference of cow leather and PU leather.

When we going to the market to buy our living room furniture, the bed and sofa can be made by fabric and leather. However leather can be divided into cow leather and PU leather.

We can distinguish fabric and leather very easily. But for some people it is very hard to distinguish PU leather and cow leather. Now i can give you some tips to recognize them.

1. Recognize by your finger

   When you press on cow leather you can see pucker on it, after you remove your finger, the pucker will disappear quickly. but the pu leather will not have pucker when you press on it or it has pucker but when you remove your finger the pucker will not disappear very quickly.

2. Recognize by water

   The cow leather have very tiny pores on it, but pu leather does not have. So when you pour water on the cow leather, the water will slowly diffuse, and later you can see that part is wet. But for PU leather the water can not transport, you also can not see the wet part.

3. Recognize by your eyes

   The PU leather color is brighter than cow leather.

4. Recognize by your feeling

   In winter when you touch PU leather you will feel cold and crunchy, but when you touch on the cow leather, you will feel very smooth and not cold.

   Cow leather price is three times than PU leather. And pu leather you can use 3-5 years, cow leather can use 6-8 years.
